QUESTION: Will there writing across the face of the print I receive? ANSWER: No, the copyright watermark images is only on the image that is shown in the web gallery
QUESTION: Is the order size the paper size or the image size? ANSWER: It will be the final size of the paper. The prints are borderless and are hand-cropped to match the aspect ratio of the image size you order and maintain the impact of the image.
QUESTION: Lustre, glossy or matte finish...which is better? ANSWER: Among the three types, I believe lustre is the best because it combines the best of glossy (a little sheen to give the colors some "punch") and matte (resists and hides fingerprints and has little or no glare). Lustre paper is a "premium professional" photo print paper that many labs charge extra for. I think it is the best photo print paper for most customers, so I price it the same as for similar sizes of glossy or matte paper, and I am only continuing to offer glossy and matte for the 2007 WHS FOOTBALL galleries since they are still in mid-season. After the annual WHS football banquet, 2007 WHS football prints will only be available on Luster or metallic photo print papers. All other new galleries will only offer luster or metallic photo paper finishes.
QUESTION: What is a metallic print? ANSWER: Kodak and other photo paper producers have created special papers that have a very glossy finish and a metallic appearance. Images printed on this patient have rich, vibrant colors that have a strike, almost three-dimensional appearance on an ultra-bright background. Compared to regular glossy finish, images printed on this special paper will exhibit greater sharpness, brightness and color saturation. This paper is more expensive than glossy or matte photo papers. Metallic prints are available in all existing (and future) photo galleries.
QUESTION: Do you make the prints locally? ANSWER: No, I have the images processed into your prints by professional photo labs that specialize in serving professional photographers. They quality of the prints from these labs far exceed anything you or I could get from an inkjet printer at home, and under normal conditions the Fuji Crystal Archive paper the lab uses will resist fading for 50+ years.
QUESTION: What is the turn-around time on an order? ANSWER: Expect 2-3 days to edit and print the images and 3-5 days for shipping. If you are ordering big enlargements, please select Priority Mail shipping over First Class mail because Priority Mail packaging protects big enlargements better than First Class Mail, and it provides package tracking. If you are ordering just a few 4x6's, First Class mail should be sufficient.
